I have recently attended many trade conferences, and the buzz is all about electric vehicles.
Despite the push, I’m leaning towards a probable ‘No.’ Here’s why:
Global Turmoil: Recent events, like the war in Ukraine, shook the world, raising questions about power security.
Charging Challenges: Limited charging infrastructure, especially in urban areas, poses a challenge.
Resource Strain: The demand for batteries raises concerns about the sustainable extraction of lithium and cobalt.
Financial Hurdles: High repair costs, expensive insurance, and fragility post-accident make EVs less attractive.
The Alternative? Hydrogen!
Abundant Resource: Hydrogen, aka ‘blue gas,’ is abundant, and its waste product is just water.
Global Solution: If scalable in the next decade, hydrogen could outshine electric vehicles.
