ALS runs a small but very efficient accounts team and are looking for a suitable candidate to join this team and bring with them a good work ethic and bright personality. The position which is currently available is for an Accounts Administrator who will be required to perform a variety of clerical tasks within the accounts department.

Duties include:

  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Producing and directing Invoice Packs
  • Representing Penalty Charge Notices
  • Liaising with clients and external working partners
  • Assisting the Accountants with general duties

In addition to the above, the candidate will be exposed to all aspects of a working accounts department, from supplier and funder reconciliations, to management accounts and cash flow control.

Requirements and skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Especially Excel
  • Experience using Sage Accounts and/or ProClaim software packages is preferable not a necessity
  • Strong numerousy skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task

This role would ideally suit a hard-working, independent individual, who enjoys numbers, procedures and problem solving within a close, productive team.

For a salary of £22,000 per annum, the working hours would be 09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, without the need to work weekends or bank holidays. Holiday entitlement is 20 days per annum.
