Looking after client’s of regular referral sources, this role requires an excellent telephone manner and a high level of customer service.
The main aspects are taking details of new claims and handling their own allocation of existing claims until such time as the client is back in the pre-accident position. Either their damaged vehicle has been repaired or they have been paid the pre-accident value.
When taking a new claim it is the handlers responsibility to ensure they have comprehensive information before making their decision as to whether the claim is valid and the client’s losses are recoverable. This responsibility will continue throughout the claim ensuring that the claim progresses swiftly, again in an attempt to secure the subsequent recovery aspect.
Preferred Skills (Not Essential):
• Knowledge of ABI/GTA
• Knowledge of Phonetic Alphabet
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic Understanding of Internet Technologies
